
Cox Racing Services was established in 2009.
Ricky Cox, was the owner of Ricky Cox Finishline that was established in 1985. However, Ricky and his son Demery Cox Co-Founded Cox Racing Services together in 2011. Ricky’s devotion to promoting running as a healthy lifestyle is shown over the past 35 years since creating the Trinity 5000 Summer Series. In 2009 they started a Holiday Racing Series that features a 4th of July 5K, Thanksgiving Day Run, Christmas Eve 5K, Christmas Day 5K, and New Year’s Eve Run designed to keep the running community active throughout the holidays. We also host the Panther City Marathon, Arlington Marathon, and Hell’s Half Acre Marathon.
Ricky won the Cowtown Marathon in 1982, 1983 and 1986, began the Trinity 5000 Summer Series in 1984 to help runners of all levels maintain their conditioning and offer competition during the summer months. Ricky, who also ran the 1983 Boston Marathon in 2:17 and was one of only 160 runners in the nation to qualify for the 1984 U.S. Olympic Trials, has been involved in promoting running for years. Demery has followed his father’s footsteps. Besides being a top competitor in the area, he has joined Ricky to conduct and time several events in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
